Devine Ham With Honey Mustard Glaze

Take your ham from great to incredible with our Devine Honey Mustard Glaze.

There’s something unmistakably magical about the aroma of a ham drifting through the house - and if you ask us, the secret to an unforgettable ham is all in the glaze.

This honey mustard glaze is everything you want: sweet, tangy and perfectly caramelised.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup dry sherry
  • ¼ cup wholegrain mustard

  • ¼ cup Ballina Honey

Method

  • Preheat oven to 160°C.

  • Combine all glaze ingredients and set aside.

  • Place ham skin side up in a large baking dish, cover with foil & bake for 20 minutes. This helps soften the skin and release it from the fat.

  • Remove from oven and carefully trim away all but 3mm of fat.

  • Gently score the surface with a sharp knife in a diamond pattern – 3mm deep & 3mm apart.

  • Pour excess fat from the pan.

  • Line with new foil and return ham to oven.

  • Spoon glaze over ham and return to oven for 20 minutes. Glaze again 10 minutes later, then repeat glazing again in another 10 minutes.

  • Repeat one last time for 10 minutes!

  • Remove and serve with some Church Farm Honey Mustard or our new line of Butcherbird Chutneys (both available in-store).
